It’s that time of month again, friends, that is, the time of the new moon!
The new moon is in Capricorn and is bringing about the feeling and drive for structuring and sheathing the ideas that have been floating in our minds all of December.
Capricorn-heavy people know how to get the job done, and they can delegate if needed! It doesn’t matter who does what job, as long as everyone is happy with their job, and is the best skilled at their job. This equals success in materializing our goals and dreams. What an exciting way to bring in the new year, with a Capricorn mindset, the particular goat in the bunch who is quite frankly the most determined.
It’s usual for A-type people (lots of Capricorns here) to start thinking about and possibly asking friends, “Did you set your new year’s resolution yet? Are you ready to claim it on New Years?”
This is the last new moon of the year in 2016. It’s the last chance we get to clearing out the clutter in our lives — in our homes, bedrooms, closets, office spaces, transportation vehicles, bodies and minds — before we get to Ring in the new year.
This makes it a great time for reflection not just on the past month (re-read November’s New Moon post, and see if you actually got around to doing all those things you intended to!), but on the entire past year.
The new moon being in Capricorn means that it’s time to ‘Get Tangible’ and realistic, to move and take action on our goals.
But before you head out for the big new year’s celebration, spend some quiet time tonight and reflect, go inward, and allow yourself some serious alone time.
It’s natural to feel uneasy, irritated, and drained at the time of the new moon…so just recognize this fact and allow yourself to go easy on yourself. Try not to accomplish too much today.
Plus, Mercury is currently in retrograde until January 8th, so right now is just not the time to start new projects. Rather, it is the time to review, reconnect, and tie up and secure loose ends.
Relax, enjoy the cycles of all the pent up feelings, emotions and understand right now it’s just not the time to socialize and make deals. It’s also not a good time to buy any electronic equipment.
There is use and reason for retrograde and new moons that happen to coincide with retrogrades…and that is to reflect, reconnect and relax.
Happy new moon and the enjoy the best realistic-setting, hands-down getting-it-done #mood to ring in the new year.
